OUR LASERS
The treatments of the Medical Laser Unit of the Rigo Clinic in Tarragona use two different types of lasers:

Each laser is used for different treatments and achieves the best results.
MeDioStar Laser
The high-performance diode lasers of the MeDioStar® family have proven their effectiveness in the field of aesthetic medicine over the past 20 years. The current generation offers numerous features, a wide range of applications, high safety and fast amortization.
TYPES OF HAIR
The number of hair follicles in the whole body (about 5 million) is already determined in the embryonic stage.
However, depending on the ethnic group, only about 100,000 to 150,000 are formed on average.
There are three different types of hair:
- Hair: fine, colorless or lightly pigmented, max. 1 cm in length
- Intermediate hair: medium pigmentation, transitional shape
- Terminal hair: strong, coarse, fully pigmented
HAIR GROWTH CYCLE
- The hair follicle and bulb are responsible for hair growth.
- Hair is only sensitive to laser treatment during the anagen (growth) phase.
- Human hair growth cycles are NOT synchronized.
- Different hair follicles will be in different phases of the cycle, so several treatments will be required.
- The duration of the phase depends on the location.

Before treatment:
Clean the treatment area (remove hair, cosmetics, deodorant).
Clinical signs:
Immediate reaction in the form of a whitish-gray skin change (bleaching), caused by extremely rapid heating of the pigment and evaporation of water in the tissue, as well as the formation of vacuoles.
After treatment:
Formation of scabs that heal normally.

SKIN REJUVENATION
BEFORE
Dry sebum blocks pores and the stratum corneum can accumulate around it, which increases the pore size.
EXPLOSION
Explosion due to the interaction of the laser beam with thermal mechanical damage caused by the absorption of a chromophore.
RESULT
Reduction of pore size after 1-3 treatments.
